Enjoy Group Fitness Classes, and Then Enjoy a Swim, This Summer at Stevens Forest Pool

There are more reasons than ever to come to Stevens Forest Pool this summer — and you don’t need to be an Oakland Mills resident to enjoy the new improvements and offerings at the pool. Nor do you need to be a swimmer.

That’s because Columbia Association (CA) is offering group fitness classes through Aug. 9 at the pool, which is located at 6061 Stevens Forest Road. All of these classes (except for yoga) are free for all CA members, and are also open to non-members who pay for admission to Stevens Forest Pool.

These classes are:

  • Cardio Dance Broadway, Sundays at noon

  • Family Zumba®, Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

  • Tai Chi, Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

  • Family Hot Hula (Polynesian) Fitness, Thursdays at 7 p.m.

  • Flow Yoga, Fridays at 10:30 a.m. The cost for yoga is free to Package Plan Plus members only. It is $10 for all others. Please bring your own mat.

Younger participants between the ages of 8 and 13 are allowed for Family Zumba® and Family Hot Hula so long as they are with an adult. All other classes are open to those 14 and older. No pre-registration is required. In case of inclement weather, please call 410-715-3154.

These classes are being held under a new outdoor pavilion at Stevens Forest Pool, one of multiple improvements at the facility. The 1,600-foot pavilion offers padded flooring for those exercising, and the respite of shade for those lounging when classes are not in session. A new hot tub is also open at the pool.
