Just because spring has yet to arrive doesn’t mean that triathletes can’t swim, bike and run their way to the finish line — all under the same roof.
Columbia Association (CA) will host its Indoor Triathlon Challenge on Sunday, March 10, at Supreme Sports Club, located at 7080 Deepage Drive in east Columbia. The non-competitive event is for all ability levels, from beginners to advanced triathletes. With two distances, the Indoor Triathlon Challenge provides a fun triathlon experience while getting a head start on the racing season.
The shorter triathlon includes a 10-minute swim in Supreme Sports Club’s pool, a 25-minute bicycle ride on stationary bikes and a 15-minute run on the facility’s indoor track. The longer triathlon includes a 15-minute swim, a 40-minute bicycle ride and a 20-minute run. Triathletes will receive a start time after signing up; the first wave begins at 6 a.m.
CA’s Indoor Triathlon Challenge is $30 for CA members and $45 for non-members. Register by March 3 at ColumbiaAssociation.org/login or in-person at Supreme Sports Club. There is no event-day registration. Triathletes must be at least 11 years old, at least 4-foot-11 in height and need to bring a photo ID to the event.
