Check Out Supreme Sports Club’s New KidSpace Youth Arena at Open House

Columbia Association (CA) will be hosting an open house for its new KidSpace Youth Arena at Supreme Sports Club, which recently opened at the fitness facility. The event will be held on Saturday, March 9, from 9 to 11 a.m., will include food, games and fun. The event will be open for free to CA members, who are welcome to bring a guest.

Registration for the open house is not required but is strongly encouraged, via Supreme Sports Club is located at 7080 Deepage Drive in Columbia.

The Youth Arena is especially intended to appeal to kids who might be too young to use the fitness facility alone, or to stay home alone while their parents work out, while also being too old for the normal KidSpace programming. It gives youth safe opportunities to participate in fitness activities with their peers, rather than sitting at home in front of a television or computer screen.

“The number of children participating in KidSpace has grown consistently over the past few years,” said Bunny Egerton, general manager of CA’s Youth Services programs. “A large portion of this growth is in the ‘older’ age group between the ages of 8 and 12.”

Supreme Sports Club’s KidSpace Youth Arena includes basketball, rock climbing, volleyball, a rope swing, an iDance arcade game and more. It is CA’s second Youth Arena; the other is at Columbia Gym, which is located at 6151 Daylong Lane in the River Hill Village Center.
