Columbia Association (CA) is proud to congratulate Member Success Coach/Elite Personal Trainer Bonnie Pace, Columbia Masters Swimming Head Coach Sue Mangan, and the staff of the Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club for their “Best of Howard” awards, bestowed by Howard Magazine and voted on by residents of Columbia and Howard County.

The awards were handed out at a ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 4.

Pace, who works in Columbia Gym, won first place in the “Personal Trainer” category. “It’s very exciting. It’s really an honor to represent CA and all of our phenomenal trainers, and it’s really wonderful to be acknowledged by our clients and our members as being one of the best and doing what we do out of the joy and the love of it,” Pace said immediately after the ceremony.

Mangan tied for first place in the “Coach” category. “I’m honored,” Mangan said immediately after the ceremony. “It’s voted on by my swimmers, so I’m honored that they thought enough of me to vote for me.”

Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club won first place in the “Golf Course” category. This is the 11th time, and the third year in a row, that Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club has won first place.

“It’s an honor to get this award for Hobbit’s Glen. It’s a great place to play golf, and a friendly, memorable experience,” said Joan Lovelace, general manager and head golf professional for CA’s two golf clubs.

Columbia Association also received an honorable mention in the “Kids’ Activities” category, and Columbia Athletic Club, Columbia Gym and Supreme Sports Club each received honorable mentions for the “Gym/Fitness Center” category.
