Columbia Association Programming to be Showcased at 50+ Expo

Columbia Association (CA) and its programming, memberships and events will be prominently featured as part of the Howard County Office on Aging’s 14th annual 50+ Expo, which is being held on Friday, Oct. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wilde Lake High School.

Among the CA services being spotlighted are the senior shuttle, NewU programs and fitness classes. CA will also be offering free skin cancer and body mass index screenings, free blood pressure testing and question and answer sessions with CA’s personal trainers at the expo. Attendees should also look for the debut of the new CA Activities for Mature Adults brochure, which will provide descriptions and additional information on the wide variety of programs and services CA offers.

“People might not realize how much CA offers to the mature adult community,” said Megan Monahan, marketing manager for CA. “This is our chance to bring together the majority of our programs that are for them into one room, and be able to provide them with information on how to get active and get involved, and to do it in an interactive and engaging way.”

CA’s showcase will be in the school’s guidance office, which is located within the front entrance and to the left. Be sure to stop by and see all that CA has to offer.
