Saturday, September 17 at Columbia SportsPark
The Columbia Association (CA) will host the ninth annual Día de la Familia on Saturday, September 17, from noon to 3 p.m. at Columbia SportsPark. Día de la Familia is a family event that is held annually in commemoration of Hispanic Heritage Month. This year’s event will feature music, miniature golf, batting cages, a moonbounce, a balloon sculptor, a face painter, door prizes and free food. New this year, the Columbia Art Center will be hosting a children’s crafts table and CA Zumba® instructors will lead a demonstration at 1:30 p.m. Following the demonstration, we’ll host the annual salsa dance competition, judged by Marielle Pabon of That’s Dancing studio. The winning couple will receive two free tickets to the Latin Salsa Night at That’s Dancing studio.
This is a free event that is open to the public. Columbia SportsPark is located at 5453 Harper’s Farm Road, behind Safeway in the Harper’s Choice Village Center.
Día de la Familia is part of CA’s Welcome Initiative to help new and current residents learn more aboutColumbia’s history and vision and encourage them to become involved in their community. For more information, please call 410-715-3104.
