The Volunteer Center Serving Howard County hosts monthly disaster volunteer information and orientation sessions to inform community members on how to plan, prepare and effectively serve in times of disaster to improve community preparedness and resiliency. Sessions will be held on Tuesday, June 28; Tuesday, July 26; Thursday, August 18; and Wednesday, September 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Columbia Association (CA) Headquarters. Each session will identify local response agencies and inform participants on how they can prepare and train to volunteer effectively after a disaster.

The Volunteer Center Serving Howard County is a service of the Columbia Association and receives funding from the Baltimore UASI, the Columbia Association, the Horizon Foundation and Howard County Government through a grant from the Department of Citizen Services.
